This seven-day journey takes the East Coast from New York to Florida on a motorcycle, travelling south through Philadelphia, Washington, Charleston and Savannah before reaching the warmer roads of Florida. On two wheels, the route is less about covering distance quickly and more about feeling the change in weather, landscape and regional character as the Northeast gives way to the American South.

The motorcycle changes how the itinerary works. Long motorway sections need regular fuel, water and rest stops, while the best days mix faster roads with slower approaches into historic centres and coastal towns. The ride from Washington towards Charleston is the toughest stretch, so the route treats it as a serious riding day rather than pretending seven or eight hours in the saddle is simply another transfer.

The food follows the same north-to-south progression: New York classics, Philadelphia's cheesesteak culture, Chesapeake crab, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, Savannah's Southern cooking and finally the Cuban and tropical influences of South Florida. The timeline below follows the ride day by day, with the road itself woven into the food story.
