  • 1 shortcrust pastry case
  • 300g golden syrup
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 egg

Description

Treacle tart is a classic sweet treat in Britain, famously one of Harry Potter’s favourites.

Instructions

  1. Mix syrup, breadcrumbs, lemon zest/juice, and egg.
  2. Pour into pastry case and bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes until golden.
