Ingredients

  • 4 beef slices
  • Mustard
  • 4 bacon slices
  • 2 pickles
  • 1 onion
  • Beef stock
  • Salt and pepper

Description

German rouladen are thin slices of beef wrapped around savoury fillings and braised until tender in a rich gravy.

Instructions

  1. Spread mustard on beef, top with bacon, pickle, and onion.
  2. Roll up, secure with toothpicks, and brown in pan.
  3. Add stock and simmer for 90 minutes. Serve with gravy.
